Research Fellow at the Korea Institute for Defense Analyses (KIDA)
Suon Choi is a Research Fellow at the Korea Institute for Defense Analyses (KIDA). She also serves as ROK Ministry of National Defense (MND) of Defense Innovation Special Advisory Committee Research Fellow and MND Policy Advisor Committee Defense Innovation Subcommitttee Advisor. Her research expertise includes ROK defense strategy, US-ROK alliance, extended deterrence, and POL-MIL game. Recently, she is researching North Korea’s conventional forces, Australian defense strategy, and generative AI in defense.
She holds a BA in Economics and International Relations from Seoul National University, summa cum laude, and MA in Political Science from Yale University. She is a doctoral student in International Affairs at Georgia Tech.
