Smita Singh is working as a Legislative Officer in the Parliament of India, where she previously held the position of an Assistant Committee Officer in the Parliamentary Committee on External Affairs She is a former Next Generation Fellow and a Member of Women in International Security (WIIS) which is based in Washington D.C.

She is a PhD Candidate in Diplomacy & Disarmament Division at Jawaharlal Nehru University, from where she completed an MPhil in Disarmament & Diplomacy Division and a Masters’ degree in Politics.
