I am Professor at Jamia Milia Islamia, New Delhi where I teach arms control and nuclear disarmament. I have been Associate Fellow in the Manohar Parrikar - Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses, New Delhi (2007–2017). I specialize on nuclear security issues and presented on issues related to nuclear non-proliferation, nuclear security, nuclear energy, human reliability, arms control and nuclear disarmament. I have also presented a paper on Nuclear Terrorism and UN Resolution 1540: A South Asian Perspective at the United Nations Headquarters, New York in 2009. My latest publication includes co-edited volume India and Global Nuclear Governance published by Routledge in 2019. My aim is to research and publish on critical areas pertaining to arms control and nuclear issues that can contribute to future policy making.
