In March, APLN welcomed Lauren Kim, as Research Intern. She is an undergraduate student pursuing a B.A. in Economics at the University of California, Berkeley. She is interested in research topics on US and Inter-Korean relations, international trade and security, and U.S. foreign policy regarding the Asia Pacific.

In April, Chris Gowe also joined APLN as Research Intern. He is an undergraduate student pursuing a B.A. in Public Policy at American University. He has interests in US policy on the Korean peninsula, and focused his undergraduate research on the US-Korea alliance, the prospects of Korean unification, and the history of US policy towards a nuclear DPRK.
