On 2-3 August 2022, APLN members Moon Chung-in, Kim Ji-na, Jun Bong-geun, Lee Sang–Hyun, Han Yong-Sup, and Zhao Tong will participate in the 2022 NEREC-Sejong Conference on Nuclear Nonproliferation. This event is part of the KAIST-NEREC program, supported by APLN.

The conference will examine global nuclear policy challenges of our day while identifying strategies to meet them. The questions addressed include: 1) What are the implications of the Russo-Ukrainian war on global nuclear governance; 2) What are the implications of the energy security concern under the Ukraine crisis on the future of nuclear power?; 3) What are the prospects of global nuclear nonproliferation regime into the future?; 4) How should the continuing DPRK nuclear challenge be met?, and; 5) What are the implications of technology innovations by the nuclear energy sector with respect to the future of global nuclear power development?
