The Asia-Pacific Leadership Network (APLN) has over 180 members from 26 countries across Asia and the Pacific, consisting of former political, diplomatic and military leaders, senior government officials, and scholars and opinion leaders, dedicated to addressing security challenges in the Asia-Pacific, with a particular focus on nuclear non-proliferation, risk reduction, and disarmament.

Dr. Rubina Waseem is the Head of Research and Assistant Professor at the Centre for International Peace & Stability (CIPS), National University of Sciences & Technology (NUST), Pakistan. She is a former Research Fellow at The George Washington University, Washington, D.C., a former CRDF Global Fellow, and a Robin Copeland Memorial Fellow. Her research focuses on nuclear security, non-proliferation, strategic issues, international law, and human rights.
