On 9-10 May 2024, APLN hosted a conference on the China-US relationship and its implications for regional stability as part of our Asia Dialogue on China-US relations. The conference was held in Jakarta and included experts and practitioners from China, the United States, and several other countries across the Asia-Pacific.

The first day of the conference discussed the definition of regional stability, regional views on China-US nuclear dynamics, the individual and collective agency of regional states, and the establishment of common norms and principles. The second day of the conference discussed Chinese and US perspectives on how to establish regional stability in the Asia-Pacific.
