Afeera Firdous is currently working as Research Associate at Press Information Department, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. Her major areas of research include countering violent extremism and national security paradigm. She is also Non Resident Fellow at Center for Security, Strategy and Policy Research (CSSPR) and Africa Asia Dialogue (Afrasid). She has completed her M.Phil. from Department of Strategic Studies at National Defence University (NDU), Islamabad and is an alumnus of International School on Disarmament and Research on Conflict (Isodarco) Italy.
