KWON Eun-ha (Senior Associate Fellow)

Dr. Kwon Eun-ha is Senior Associate Fellow at the APLN. She is also the senior researcher and team leader at the Nonproliferation Research Division of the Mirae Consulting Group (MCG). She has served as the secretary of the recently established Korean Institute of Nuclear Materials Management (KNMM) and an editorial board member of the Korean Radioactive Waste Society (KRWS). Before she joined MCG in 2018, Dr. Kwon worked as a senior researcher at the Nonproliferation System Division of the Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute (KAERI) for fourteen years. She also worked as an intern at the Office of External Relations and Policy Co-ordination (EXPO) of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in 2004 and at the Department for Disarmament Affairs (DDA) of the United Nations (UN) in 2003. She received her Ph.D in quantum energy chemical engineering, with a concentration in nuclear fuel cycle system analysis, from the University of Science and Technology in 2012, her M.A. in international policy studies, with a concentration in nonproliferation and international security, from the Monterey Institute of International Studies in2004 and her B.A. in political science from the University of California at Los Angeles in 2001. Her research interests include security and non proliferation issues as well as nuclear politics.
