Sue JEONG (Junior Research Fellow)

Ms. Soo Yeon (Sue) Jeong is a Junior Research Fellow at the APLN. Prior to the APLN, she was the co-editor-in-chief of the Yonsei Journal of International Studies, and held internships at the East Asia Institute, the Council on Foreign Relations, the Canada Border Services Agency, and the U.S. Consulate General in Toronto. Sue has held various research assistantship positions that were regionally focused on Korea and Japan, but varied in topics and disciplines. Sue received her Master’s degree from Yonsei University’s Graduate School of International Studies for East Asian Studies and International Security and Foreign Policy and her Bachelor’s degree as a Joint Honours student in East Asian and International Development Studies from McGill University. Her research interests are focused on the Korean Peninsula with athematic concentration of history, politics, and security.
