The Asia-Pacific Leadership Network for Nuclear Non-Proliferation and Disarmament (APLN) has over one hundred members from eighteen countries across Asia and the Pacific, consisting of former political, diplomatic and military leaders, senior government officials, and scholars and opinion leaders. APLN aims to inform and energize public opinion, especially high-level policymakers, to take seriously the very real threats posed by nuclear weapons, and to do everything possible to achieve a world in which they are contained, diminished and eventually eliminated.

Executive Director of Mongolia Development Strategy Institute, Former Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy of Mongolia

Zorigt Dashdorj is Executive Director of Mongolia Development Strategy Institute and served as Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy Ministry and member of Parliament.

Zorigt Dashdorj is Executive Director of Mongolia Development Strategy Institute (mongolia-dsi.org) and serves on boards of several Mongolian companies. As a former Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy Ministry (2008-2012) and a member of Parliament (2009-2012), he is one of the most recognised experts on the country’s mining and energy industries public policy. During his tenure as a minister he signed or initiated several large scale mining and energy projects, which helped to make Mongolia one of the fastest growing frontier economies.

At the start of his public service career, he served as Deputy Director for Strategic Planning and Coordination in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the First Secretary of Mongolia's Permanent Mission to the United Nations. He also was in charge of policy planning in the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and the Ministry of Finance and Economy. Zorigt Dashdorj has LLD and LLM from Kyushu University, Japan, MA in International Relations from the Australian National University and MA in Political Science from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO).
