The Asia-Pacific Leadership Network for Nuclear Non-Proliferation and Disarmament (APLN) has over one hundred members from eighteen countries across Asia and the Pacific, consisting of former political, diplomatic and military leaders, senior government officials, and scholars and opinion leaders. APLN aims to inform and energize public opinion, especially high-level policymakers, to take seriously the very real threats posed by nuclear weapons, and to do everything possible to achieve a world in which they are contained, diminished and eventually eliminated.

Yuzaki Hidehiko is the governor of the Hiroshima Prefecture in Japan and a long-time champion of eliminating nuclear weapons.
Yuzaki Hidehiko is the governor of Hiroshima Prefecture in Japan and a long-time champion of eliminating nuclear weapons. Prior to becoming governor, Yuzaki was an executive partner of Office Y and co-founder, executive vice president, and representative director of ACCA Networks Company, Ltd, a communication service company. In 1990, Yuzaki served in the Ministry of International Trade and Industry. He earned a law degree from the University of Tokyo in 1990 before attending Stanford University where he received his master’s in business administration.
